FBN® customers in Canada can initiate a return of empty containers by contacting FBN Customer Support at 1-844-200-3276 or support@farmersbusinessnetwork.com . Conditions for Empty Container Pickup Empty container location is within 320 kilometers of one of the following FBN owned warehouses: Saskatoon, 127 Prospect Rd, Corman Park No. 344, SK S7R 0H9 Yorkton, 236 Myrtle Ave, Yorkton, SK S3N 1R4 Customer has a forklift, tractor, etc. and is able to load empty containers into truck. Containers/pallets (if product is palletized) must be return ready based on below requirements. Customer must sign a certification form at the time of pickup stating the products were sold to them by FBN and that the empty containers align with the conditions stated below. We will not accept any empty containers without this form being signed. Detailed Requirements for Containers Containers must be in a condition to be reused/recycled (if a grower is uncertain on whether an empty is in acceptable condition, they can send pictures to FBN Customer Support to ensure acceptable quality. See these examples from a few refurbishing companies showing empty containers in unacceptable conditions). Containers are jug, drum, or tote package size Outside of container must be free from product contamination and dirt Container cannot have been used for any product other than that listed on the original label All original labels, markers, hazmat classifications, etc., must be legible and in place Jugs Jugs are emptied, triple rinsed and cleaned properly with no residual product Remove caps and booklets (place in garbage); leave the glued-on label. Remove metal handle from fertilizer pails. Lastly, ensure the empty jugs are placed in a Cleanfarms or other polyethylene bag* *Seed treatments need to be separated out into separate bags Totes All valves must be closed Totes contain no more than 2” of residual product Bottles must be intact, free of punctures, cuts and cracks Bottles must be secured with the proper fill caps, gaskets and bungs Bottles should not be painted, marked or covered with residue Totes must be securely closed with original lids and closures and lids and closures need to be operational Cage must be free of excessive rust and bowing and there should be no or few broken welds or missing bolts Cages should not be painted, marked or covered with residue Drums Drums contain no more than 2” of residual product Bottles must be intact, free of punctures, cuts and cracks Bottles must be secured with the proper fill caps, gaskets and bungs Bottles should not be painted, marked or covered with residue Detailed Requirements for Pallets Plastic and steel pallets must have all welds and bolts intact with no broken or bent corners Wooden pallets must have no broken or missing boards Important things to note: FBN does not have the footprint of brick and mortar locations spread across Western Canada of traditional retail and we do not charge deposits on our drums and totes. Because of this, it is not reasonable to expect that empty containers will be picked up immediately. They will be picked up when there are other deliveries or returns in the area and special trips will not be made for a single pick up. Depending on the time of year, this could lead to waiting a few days to a few months for the pickup to occur. The consolidation of empties at a single location between growers in an area will generally lead to quicker pickups. Program is subject to change.

All of our sustainability programs require that farmers enroll acres that meet the requirements of the program they enrolled in. Once the farmer enrolls in a program, the next step is to share the field boundaries of the acres enrolled. Our goal is to make this step as easy as possible for the farmer. The easiest way for a farmer to share their field boundaries is to connect their FBN® account with John Deere Operations Center or Case IH’s AFS Connect. John Deere Operations Center and AFS Connect are cloud platforms that store their agronomic information from John Deere and Case IH machines. Farmers Business Network has an API integration with John Deere and CNH that connects this information with FBN.com. Here are instructions to connect a farmer's John Deere and CNH account with FBN.com: Sign in to your FBN account . Go to the Integrations page - found under the Analyze tab > My Data > Integrations . Click on the John Deere or CNH button. If you agree to add this integration, click on the Connect with John Deere/Connect with CNH button. If you are not currently signed into MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect, you will be required to sign in. Once signed in, you will see a page from MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect asking if you want to allow FBN access to your account data. Select Allow . If the request was successful and FBN was able to finish the integration, you will see your MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect account listed as an integration. If the request failed or there was an error, you will see the integrations page with an error message. Retry the process again if this happens or contact us for help. After the data in your account has finished syncing with FBN , you will see the Last Sync date. You are now integrated with your MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect account and all files uploaded to MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect will automatically upload to your FBN account for processing, cleaning and analyzing! If farmers do not have a MyJohnDeere/AFS Connect account, the next easiest way for them to share field boundaries is to use Fieldview. Fieldview is a cloud platform that stores farmer’s agronomic information from Fieldview devices. Farmers can easily share information from Fieldview using the below instructions: Log in to Field View on your computer. Click the Data tab on the top of the screen and then Data Manager in the drop down that appears. This screen will automatically populate a list of all your events by field. Check all the field events at once by clicking the small box at the very top of this list that is located right under “20/20 Field Map Data” in FieldView. Then on the right side of that same screen, click the Actions button and then the Share Fields button. Type in the email data@farmersbusinessnetwork.com and hit Send . Change selected year and repeat steps 3 - 6 for each of the years your system has data. If farmers do not have MyJohnDeere, AFS Connect, or Fieldview, they can share precision yield data from other software providers. Instructions can be found at https://www.fbn.com/community/faq/topic/importing-data If farmers do not have precision yield data, they should share their field boundaries via FSA Maps. Here are instructions for sharing FSA maps with FBN: Go to the FSA office and request maps for acres enrolled in the sustainability program Email or text images of the maps to data@farmersbusinessnetwork.com Once maps are uploaded, the next step is to schedule a survey with a Farmers Business Network Sustainability Program Lead (SPL). You will receive an email from your assigned SPL and can check their calendar availability to schedule a meeting.
