Took over a few old hay fields, they need work. I’ve never put lime on. I’ve found a rental spreader, but unsure on the lime.
Live near several limestone pit, can I get lime from them or do I need to buy somewhere else? If I can get there, what should I get?
Thanks for the help, only bale about 250 acres on about 7 farms.

Have you pulled a soil sample? If your soil needs MG, then you want to apply Dolomite. If your MG levels are good, you can apply hi ********.

How do you know you need lime? What is the Ph? What is the % Ca and % Mg base saturation?
